David

David has just started working with us here at Phoenix Sounds. His passion for music ignited in his mid-teens when he began collecting records, starting with ABBA and Isaac Hayes's Shaft. Working at a local supermarket introduced him to fellow music enthusiasts, leading to memorable visits to independent record stores and regular trips to London's Soho. After relocating to Newton Abbot 30 years ago, he became a loyal customer of Phoenix Sounds. The COVID-19 lockdowns allowed him to explore music further, even launching a podcast with friends. His diverse collection spans 70s Rock, 80s Pop, Jazz, and more. David has enjoyed countless live performances, with highlights including Talking Heads and Bowie.
